Willie Geist

I worked with Willie Geist a few weeks back. I usually feel tall on set, but Willie looks about 6’6″ even though he says he’s 6’4″ The shoot was for Serendipity Magazine. I only had Willie for a couple hours between the Today show and his next filming, but we got a lot done.

Chef Jean-Georges

I had the pleasure of photographing chef Jean-Georges for an editorial. Having eaten at a few of his restaurants it was great to meet him in person.
We shot on location at his newest restaurant, The Inn At Pound Ridge. An hour drive from Manhattan it was beautiful spot and a great day to be out in the country air, camera in hand.

We had 45 minutes for the shoot. Here are some of my favorites:

Dear Boston: Messages from the Marathon Memorial at the BPL

Today was the opening of the Boston Public Library’s month-long exhibit on the Marathon Memorials. Last year the city commissioned me to document the impromptu memorial made from letters and flowers to sneakers and paper cranes… It was a manifestation of love in response to an act of hate.

The exhibit features many of the items, notes and letters left in Copley Square many of them set against the backgrounds of my photos. It was humbling to have my work as part of this exhibit, but it also fill me with great pride that I can contribute to the memory of last years events in this way. I grew up going to exhibits at the Boston Public Library – getting to now see my own work there is a great privilege.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Below are some images of the exhibit and some of the other Images from immediately after the bombing.
