Got UP at 2:30am a couple weeks back to leave Brooklyn and drive to our location so I’d be in place & ready to shoot for sunrise.
a few hours and a couple Dunkin Donuts later we started a great day of shooting and were wrapped by noon!

Today was the opening of the Boston Public Library’s month-long exhibit on the Marathon Memorials. Last year the city commissioned me to document the impromptu memorial made from letters and flowers to sneakers and paper cranes… It was a manifestation of love in response to an act of hate.
The exhibit features many of the items, notes and letters left in Copley Square many of them set against the backgrounds of my photos. It was humbling to have my work as part of this exhibit, but it also fill me with great pride that I can contribute to the memory of last years events in this way. I grew up going to exhibits at the Boston Public Library – getting to now see my own work there is a great privilege.
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
Below are some images of the exhibit and some of the other Images from immediately after the bombing.
More exhibit Images coming soon…
