The Boston New Balance Brand Experience store opened yesterday, right by the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

I’ve been shooting behind-the-scenes of the construction the last few weeks, and shot the Store interiors with the Global Creative Director Wednesday Night.

Yesterday Morning I got a call from the creative director at New Balance, he was looking for an old/worn marathon roadblock for the Boston Store, and needed it that day.

I told him if I couldn’t find one, I’d make it. Here’s a look at how I made the piece that’s now used as the in-store display for the limited edition Boston Marathon sneaker.

Improv Troupe Portraits

If I had more time i’d join an improv group… hmmm potential new years resolution? anyway, i love photographing these jokers, it’s always a fun assignment. on new years day I got a call from a friend – her friend’s imrpov group was having a shoot that day and the photographer had just cancelled… i was on my way to my first shoot of the year (previous post) and had all my gear with me so on the way home i made a quick detour to shoot the cast of “My Dark Love – An Improvised Teen Gothic Romance”

had 30 mins to figure out a concept/lighting & get the shot.
